QR Code
A QR (Quick Response) Code is the name given to a two-dimentional bar code that contains specific information. Originally they were used for tracking parts and parcels, but are now also used as a form of "mobile tagging".
Digital Umbrella have QR Codes on the back of their business cards. This is to allow the holder of the card to transfer the contact details from the card to a digital device, such as a mobile phone.
How will this benefit me?
- Speed - Scanning a QR code with your mobile phone can be faster than dialling it manually, and it would get you all the necessary information from the card rather than just once piece of information.
- No Human Error - It eliminates human error by removing the process of having to manually dial the telephone number or type the email address.
- All details instantly stored - One quick scan of a QR Code gives you all the contact details you need. Just hit Save and those details are stored for future reference.
How do you use it?
